Our MD, Gabriele, will be visiting The Falcon Hotel tonight to share the joy of Piedmont wines with some fellow enthusiasts at the Rutland Wine Society's tutored tasting.

He'll be discussing the tradition, techniques and, of course, tastes of the Elio Filippino Winery. Based in a picturesque UNESCO Heritage village, this family-run winemaker uses natural methods wherever possible and employs precision viticulture to ensure the quality of its wines. The grass is even hand-cut, and the unique landscape where the soil alternates in layers of clay, calcareous marl, blue marl, tufa, sand and sulfur-bearing chalk lends the wines their structure and finesse.
